So I've lived in Manoa my whole life and I love pho, vermicelli etc... yet I've never been to this location. I've narrowed down my 2 favorite places frlm.Stadium Pho to pho viet.
Stadium Pho sauces have a little kick, while pho viet doesn't. I love both. This location does have a bar in it. I didnt even know how big it was until I walked in.
The restataunt could most definitely use an upgrade, however it's super clean. Nice high ceilings and nice staff. Food came out very quick. Portions size is perfect !

Parking at manoa of course free, and there is tons. The new(er) elevator takes you right upstairs to the restaurant.

Located on the second floor of Manoa Marketplace, right next to the elevators. You can't miss the bright pink sign!

Such an extensive menu! Never have I seen a pho place with more than four pages of food items. The inside is MUCH bigger than it seems from the outside, with many tables, a bar, and even karaoke rooms upstairs?! I think it's safe to say that it's the nicest casual Vietnamese restaurant I've stepped into in Hawaii, with the nicest employees.

I wasn't too hungry so I had just tried a few bites of my friend's Bun Cha Gio (Spring Rolls on Vermicelli, $11.95). The portion was very big, but the flavors weren't my favorite. I may have been a little bias, because we just came back from Vietnam so I'm probably still comparing the food here to the authentic foods we had in Vietnam, but I think the vermicelli noodles were a little overboiled for my taste (too soft) and the spring rolls didn't have much flavor. I did like that the vermicelli noodles also came with crushed peanuts, shredded carrots, and fried garlic on top, which gave the noodles a lot more flavor, especially if you're like me and don't like the sauces that they give you on the side.

I'll definitely give this place another try and order something for myself next time!

When CK suggested we have lunch here, I thought this was just a Pho place, but it turns out they have a ton of other tasty goodies as well.
Having said that, I was invited for Pho, so Pho it was.
I'm not a huge Pho fan, but this was really tasty (due in no small part to the fact that it was not buried in *ugh* cilantro)! There was lots of Thai basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime. The broth was also flavorful and it came with plenty of noodles. CK taught me a trick which is to put the jalapeños in for flavor but not actually eat them.
Service was very friendly and our server made suggestions without being pushy (one of the true arts of serving, IMHO).
This was so enjoyable, I'm going to go back to try their "not Pho" menu!

I like Manoa.  Although I can't afford to live in this elitist enclave full of university professors and others with generations of old money driving Nissan Leafs and Toyota Priuses,  I can patronize the shops and restaurants in the area and enjoy my role as a "poser" Manoa man.  My teenage daughter and I wandered in here for a late lunch on a recent Saturday.  She ordered the barbecue chicken plate, and I had the large pho with round steak and meatballs.  I asked for the smaller size, but the server (or maybe owner) told me it wouldn't be enough, and he was right, as the large size was just enough.  The basil, bean sprouts, and lemon were the right amount, without wasting anything.  The broth was good.  Though it's not my favorite place for pho (the broth is everything), it will do in a pinch.  And, like I said, I like the location.

Vegetarian pho! So far I have only found one other place on the island that makes a veggie broth pho. The broth has so much flavor and is so good.
